PTA's priority has always been to empower parents in supporting the welfare and success of our children.  Creating and funding educational and fun programs, and supporting your local school with money and manpower (and the occasional cookie tray) are critical, but there is another important way the PTA connects parents to children, and that is through advocacy.

Because what happens in the capitol directly impacts what happens in the classroom.  Issues like class size, curriculum, PE requirements, testing...the list goes on!  These critical decisions must  be made with parent input, and Texas PTA provides an amazing opportunity to have a voice in these discussions.  "Every child. One Voice." is not just a slogan, it is the core of PTA advocacy.
